October 28-29, 2020, MTSC held in Cebu the
quarterly Waterborne Industry Spill Equipment (WISE). Thais was the fourth
exercise of the year.
The drill designed to evaluate how oil spill
response assets and personnel effectively mobilize and carryout an operation
while complying with the government mandated health guidelines and restrictions
in place due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Participating members included Chevron, Isla
LPG, Petron, Pilipinas Shell, PTT, and Total; which make up the Philippine
Institute of Petroleum (PIP). MTSC is exclusively contracted by the PIP members
to provide nation-wide oil spill response services for spills of up to 1,000
tons oil product.
