Members of the Petroleum Institute of the Philippines (PIP) held its third quarter and Waterborne Industry Equipment (WISE) Philippines exercise for 2019 at Philippine Coastal Storage & Pipeline Corp. terminal in Subic Bay. MTSC and PIP hold one exercise per quarter. Approximately 40 professionals attended including representatives from the PIP (Petron, Chevron Philippines, Pilipinas Shell, Total Philippines, PPT Philippines, and Isla LPG), local tanker operators/owners; oil terminal personnel, and government regulatory bodies.

Malayan Towage and Salvage Corporation is contracted by the PIP to exclusively respond to Tier 2  oil spills (1000 cubic meters) at any of the PIP members’ terminals nationwide. PIP and MTSC hold joint spill exercises once every quarter and MTSC provides personnel, spill equipment, and marine assets at each occasion.
