  1. Salvage Operations
  2. Duly registered with the Philippine Coast Guard, SALVTUG has refloated more than 140 vessels of various sizes, the biggest of which is the 98,000 DWT VLCC tanker. The Company provide salvage services on "LOF No-Cure-No-Pay", "Daily Hire" or "Lump sum" basis as the situation prevails. SALVTUG have joint-venture arrangements with foreign salvors like Nippon Salvage and Smit International Singapore Pte. Ltd.


     

  3. Oil Spill Response
  4. SALVTUG have 11 dedicated Oil Spill Response Tugs and Oil Spill Equipment that can handle major oil spill incidents. Currently, our contracts for Oil Spill Response includes:

    • Maintenance of several oil spill equipment for the Philippine Coast Guard
    • Administrator for Pilipinas Shell’s Water-Borne Industry Oil Spill Equipment (WISE Batangas)
    • Retainer tugboat and oil spill response provider for Petron Bataan Refinery

     

  5. Emergency Services
  6. SALVTUG provide Emergency Services such as Search and Rescue during calm or adverse weather conditions, which are prevalent in the Philippines and its surrounding areas. Our Manila Communications Center is manned 24 hours a day to receive Emergency Calls.

    Our Port Captain, Salvage Masters, Divers, Emergency Response Team and other Operations Personnel are readily available on call for immediate deployment.


     

  7. Ocean and Coastal Towages
  8. SALVTUG provide ocean and coastal towages for all types of vessels, oil rigs and barges for transpacific crossing as far as Indian Ocean, Southern Australia and New Zealand, either on Lumpsum or Daily Hire using BIMCO "Towcon" and "Towhire" contract forms.

     

     

  9. Harbor Docking and Undocking Operations
  10. SALVTUG provide more than 95 percent of all docking and undocking services to all types of vessels calling at major Philippine Ports including VLCC tankers delivering crude oil to major oil companies such as CALTEX, SHELL and PETRON in Batangas and Manila Bay. Additionally, SALVTUG is the exclusive tug service provider for the docking and undocking of Panamax vessels supplying coal to power plants for Mirant Philippines (Sual and Pagbilao) and the National Power Corporation (Masinloc and Calaca).

  11. Manning and Recruitment Services
  12. SALVTUG is duly licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) as Manning Agents for International Ship Owners, Operators or Managers. We currently service the manpower requirements for seafarers (Officers and Ratings) and land based workers for the following foreign principals.

  13. Lay-Up Services
  14. Located at Malalag Bay, western side of the Davao Gulf, Southern Philippines (approximate lat. 6 N long. 125E), is Southeast Asia’s most secure and strategic typhoon-free lay-up facility. It is the preferred anchorage for the deep-water lay-up of Tankers and Dry Cargo vessels without size limit. The site was developed by Asia Pacific Chartering Philippines, Inc., a member of the SALVTUG Group.
